Royal Air Moroc to join Avios

Late last fall I had an opportunity to fly and try Royal Air Moroc while visiting Casablanca, and despite a lengthy delay in departing had a very pleasant experience onboard.

Per this article, it seems as though RAM is expanding its reach into other markets by becoming a partner of Avios (along with many others including British Airways and Iberia).

It's great to see them branching out and I like the possibility of redemptions to other places in Morocco.  Possibly Marrakech in the future!

Hyatt to open three new properties in India

Per this article on Business Traveller, Hyatt plans to expand their property footprint and introduce three new properties in India.

The properties would be located in Hyderabad, Rameswaram, and Delhi.

It's exciting to see Hyatt looking for ways to increase locations in their portfolio and I'll be interested to see what category each is assigned.  Hopefully they will be reasonable for point+cash redemptions!

New Hyatt Promotion: Stay More, Play More through June 30

It's been a while since the last Hyatt promotion so I was pleased to see the new posting for Stay More, Play More now through June 30.

And the best part, looking at the T&C, is that it seems like Vegas properties are also included.  Not to mention this is a nights promotion instead of a stays promo.

American Airlines Devaluation - the day is here

I hope all of you were able to get in on any last minute mile redemptions before today - as you know, today is the official day of the American Airlines devaluation for mileage awards.  There is a broad range for the changes, but most rewards are going up (some significantly).

I'm grateful to have locked in a few options later in the year - made it in time!

China Trip recap and pics

My long weekend trip to China was a success!  Beautiful, clear skies allowed me to have an enjoyable tour and I had no problems with my visa and security checks.  I also managed to keep all of my electronic devices turned off to minimize security concerns.

As a quick recap, the trip was extremely cost effective - voucher covered the flight, points covered my hotel stay at the Grand Hyatt Beijing.

Enjoy these fabulous pics!  (click on each to enlarge)

For those wondering, I booked this entire experience using China Guide - overall it went very well from pickup to drop off.  Give them a look if you want a great experience!
