AA and Citi Expanding Partnership

Big news has been shared by American Airlines - starting in 2026, Citi will be the exclusive issuer for AA credit cards.  The press release is here:

This is potentially huge news if the exclusive partnership includes participation by AA in the ThankYou Rewards program!

Tracing genealogy lines

I had time on my flight home to continue some research on individuals in my family tree - since my big discovery and data share from the researcher in Switzerland, there are some fascinating names listed.

Scrolling back from Charlemagne, the furthest name on that line is Afranius Syagrius Aegidus and his son is Flavius Afranius Syagrius.  This appears to be a connection of Roman origin!

The first reference is here: https://ancestors.familysearch.org/en/LDWH-PPV/flavius-afranius-syagrius-consul-of-rome-0285-0399 / https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afranius_Syagrius

Second reference is here: https://ancestors.familysearch.org/en/L2F1-CS6/flavius-afranius-syagrius-governor-of-gaul-0312-0382

The next individual in the line is Tonantius Ferreolus - I believe this is the correct link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonantius_Ferreolus_(prefect)

The history here is what I love the most - potentially a Consul and/or Governor of Gaul!

More Rewards Day on 11/7

Bank of America just sent out a notification about a special promotion day for purchases on Thursday 11/7 - they are calling this "More Rewards Day".

Link is here: https://promotions.bankofamerica.com/card/morerewardsday

On Thursday, November 7th ET, you can earn an additional 2 Miles for every $1 spent on purchases made with your Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card. This one-day offer is good for the first $2,500 in purchases, up to 5,000 Miles. That’s on top of the rewards you’re already earning. No enrollment is necessary.

All purchases qualify for additional points though transactions must occur on Thursday.  I believe they are trying to get a start on holiday shopping!

On the road this week to Crete!

I'm looking forward to being back on the far south side of Chicago this week as I fly back for Choral Fest.  Curious who I will see!
