I've got quite a few places on my travel bucket list, and one of them seems fairly straightforward - the United "Island Hopper". For those who don't know, this is a special service in place by United to provide supplies and access to several remote islands in the Pacific. There is a great article about it here if interested.
Finding the time needed for this is one challenge - the other is the relative cost of points or miles if available. Since you need to fly and cross the international date line, you lose then gain hours back if departing from the west coast. And since the Island Hopper only flies on certain days, you have to make sure there is space for connections and the turn.
Here's an example of what you'll find when you search for this special trip on United.com:
It will be quite the day after visiting all the islands! I'm hoping that I can find a scheduling option that works.
